Description:BASIC PURPOSE:
The Marketing Database Assistant is a key part-time position to maintain data quality, integrity and completeness for Horizon sales and marketing initiatives. Top priority for 2012 is to make sure we are able to market effectively to K-12 outside foodservice.



Duties:PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Increase lead/prospect/customer non-foodservice K-12 contacts in NetSuite
Each K-12 lead/prospect/customer should have proper �role-Horizon� and job titles to ensure effectiveness of targeted marketing
K-12 contacts outside of food service should have correct email, phone number and mailing address
Assist with any other marketing duties as assigned

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Clean up existing contact data in NetSuite:
Review all contacts for existing K-12 Horizon customers.
Inactivate any contacts no longer employed by the customer.
o Ensure that proper job title and �Role-Horizon� are assigned to each contact for each customer.
o Ensure that correct email address and mailing address is associated with each contact record.
 Add K-12 non-foodservice contact data to NetSuite:
o For both K-12 Horizon customers and K-12 non-Horizon customers, ensure there is a Business Manager/CFO, IT Director, and Director of Curriculum/Community Education contact listed, with correct role, job title, email address, and physical mailing address.
o For purchased database, spreadsheet must be manipulated and cleaned up for import into NetSuite
o Internet research will be necessary to mine and correct this data. Priority on which lead/prospect/customer records to be updated will be determined by VP Marketing.
 Ensure contacts who wish to opt out from marketing are unsubscribed
 Routinely make data corrections in NetSuite as emails or direct mails are returned with incorrect address.
 Export contact lists for sales and marketing efforts.
 Assist Marketing Communications Manager with NetSuite/Pardot integration tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
 Conduct online research as needed.
 Assist with direct mail marketing efforts, preparing packages and mailouts.
 Assist with any other marketing efforts or duties as assigned.
 Required to update manager with weekly progress reports.


Qualifications:JOB SPECIFICATIONS/PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
In particular, need to have STRONG ability to quickly search Internet for needed information and have basic Excel skills.
Must have good common sense and decision-making skills.
Must be detail oriented, conscientious, and well-organized.
Must be able to change priorities quickly without hesitation.
Must be able to work independently and have strong work ethic.
Must be a quick learner.
Must be able to work 20 hours every week.

Physical Requirements
While performing this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and work from a computer for long lengths of time. The employee may on occasion be required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
